6. Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience, analyze website traffic, and understand where our visitors are coming from.
7. The Companion Assistant
Our website may show a small on-page companion assistant. It asks for your consent first. Until you say yes, nothing is sent anywhere and no cookie is set; the companion only stores your yes or no choice and its position on the screen in your browser's local storage. If you say no, it adds one to an anonymous daily count, with no ID, page or device detail attached.
If you say yes:
-
One first-party cookie,
xel_vid, holds a random visitor ID for one year, and a random visit ID is kept for the current visit. - It records the pages you view (address and title), active reading time, words read, scroll depth, clicks on selected internal links (the address only), whether its own messages were shown or clicked, any tricks it played, and that you gave consent.
- Visit context is limited to country, device type, browser name, browser language, the referring website's domain and whether you are a new or returning visitor.
- It does not collect your IP address, name, email or anything you type into forms, and it does not fingerprint your device.
- Your choice is also passed to Google Consent Mode, so Google tags on this site follow the same yes or no.
This data is stored only on Cloudflare. It is not
sold or shared with third parties. History is
deleted automatically after 90 days. To withdraw
consent, tap the companion and change your choice;
tracking stops at once and the
xel_vid cookie is deleted.
