Is the Bahrain International Airshow happening in 2026?

By Gaurav Agarwal · Updated 14 October 2026

The Bahrain International Airshow will not take place in 2026: on 5 September 2026 its organising committee moved it from 18-20 November 2026 to 15-17 November 2028. Do not travel to Sakhir on the old dates; wait for 2028 registration, ticket and access details on airshow.bh.

01The 2026 event has been rescheduled

On 5 September 2026, the Supreme Organising Committee announced that the eighth edition, previously scheduled for 18 to 20 November 2026 at Sakhir Air Base, will now take place from 15 to 17 November 2028.

The former dates were 18 to 20 November 2026. The new dates are 15 to 17 November 2028.

02Why older official pages still show 2026

A Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications notice dated 29 May 2025 described the eighth edition as taking place at Sakhir Air Base in November 2026.

That page records the earlier plan. The newer official event homepage states that the event was rescheduled after consideration and discussions with stakeholders, partners and international companies.

For travel planning, use the current event homepage. Treat pages that still mention November 2026 as historical information.

03What to do if you already made a 2026 booking

The official notice confirms the date change but does not publish airline, hotel, ticket or refund rules. Contact the company that issued each booking and use its terms for changes or refunds.

Keep the rescheduling notice open when you contact a provider. It states both the former dates and the new dates.

  1. List every booking linked to 18 to 20 November 2026.
  2. Open the cancellation or change terms for each booking.
  3. Contact the ticket issuer, airline, hotel or transport provider directly.
  4. Do not assume an old public-day registration will transfer to 2028.
  5. Save written confirmations of any change or refund.

04Do not reuse older public-entry instructions

An older official FAQ says public-day registration would become available later. In an answer about printing badges, it also says 'there will be no onsite registration or ticket sales.'

The same older FAQ lists public access from 9:00 to 19:00 and a visitor car park at Gate 2.

Those details belong to an older edition and are not current 2028 instructions. Wait for the official site to publish the 2028 registration route, ticket terms, opening times, parking map and entry rules.

05What the official pages don't say

The current rescheduling notice does not publish 2028 public ticket prices, registration dates, access times, parking arrangements, food rules, bag limits or a finish time.

It also does not say that a booking or registration from an older edition will transfer. Do not rely on that assumption.

The official notice says the decision is intended to let visitors, exhibitors, delegates and partners participate fully in the airshow experience. It does not create a specific refund or transfer process.

06Use this checklist before planning for 2028

Return to the official airshow site when 2028 visitor information appears, then confirm every item before paying.

  1. Confirm 15 to 17 November 2028 on the official homepage.
  2. Find the current public registration or ticket page.
  3. Check the named visitor category and entry conditions.
  4. Check opening hours, parking, transport and prohibited items.
  5. Save the confirmation email and current venue map.
  6. Check the page again shortly before travel.
