What are the official Bahrain visit visa fees?

By Gaurav Agarwal · Updated 21 October 2026

A three-month multiple-entry eVisa costs BHD 29, split into BHD 4 request and BHD 25 issuance. The two-week page labels BHD 9 as visa fees and BHD 4 as application fees. A five-year multiple-entry eVisa costs BHD 64.

01Choose the fee row that matches your visa offer

There is no single Bahrain tourist visa fee. The amount changes with the visa category, entry pattern, permitted period and the route offered to your passport. Use the table as a comparison, then confirm the exact option through the official Check Visa Eligibility service before paying.

The Bahrain eVisa portal says it is the only official website for applying for a Bahrain visa. Avoid treating an agency package price as the government fee. A third-party quote may include service charges that do not appear on the government category page.

The fee table below uses amounts published on Bahrain government service pages. Read the category name carefully because similar durations can have different entry rules.

02Check which visa Bahrain offers to you before comparing prices

Start with eligibility, not the cheapest number. Open the official portal and choose Check Visa Eligibility. Use the passport and travel circumstances that will apply on the trip. The result determines which categories you can consider.

A low fee in the table does not mean every traveller can select that visa. The five-year page refers to nationals of 68 countries. The one-year page refers to nationals of 212 countries. The two-week page also refers to nationals of 212 countries. The separate three-month page names Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States.

The GCC visitor page lists BHD 29. It is for visitors from GCC countries for one month. The page requires a valid GCC visa.

If the eligibility result does not offer the category you expected, do not submit under a different nationality or residence status. Recheck your selections and use the route shown for your actual passport and circumstances.

  1. Open the official Bahrain Electronic Visa Service.
  2. Choose Check Visa Eligibility.
  3. Enter the requested travel and passport criteria accurately.
  4. Compare only the visa categories returned for you.
  5. Open the matching official category page and confirm its current fee and documents.
  6. Apply through the official portal when ready.

03Understand what the published amount says

The two-week page labels BHD 9 as visa fees and BHD 4 as application fees. Use those two published components rather than inventing a combined amount. The three-month multiple-entry page is explicit: BHD 29, made up of BHD 4 to submit the request and BHD 25 for issuance.

The family visit page lists BHD 39. The one-year multiple-entry page lists BHD 44. The five-year multiple-entry page lists BHD 64. The special three-month Visit eVisa service lists a fee of BHD 24. That page is for expatriates from Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States. Treat each amount as applying only to the named service page.

NDTV lists online visa fees of BD 10, BD 17 and BD 45. NDTV lists arrival visa fees of BD 5 and BD 12. These are third-party figures. Use the current official Bahrain service page for the category returned by Check Visa Eligibility.

Before payment, write down the visa name, entry pattern, validity period, fee components and application reference. This makes it easier to spot when an agency invoice or payment screen relates to a different service.

04Prepare the common documents, then check category extras

The official one-year category lists a valid passport copy, hotel reservation, return ticket and a three-month bank statement. The two-week page lists passport copy, hotel reservation, return ticket and a three-month bank statement. The three-month page lists the same four attachment types.

The bank statement rule states regular income of BHD 300 to 500 per month. The alternative is BHD 150 for each day of the visit, and the statement must be in English.

A family visit needs extra evidence. Its service page requires official documents proving kinship, such as the category-specific family records requested by the portal. Do not assume a hotel booking or invitation alone replaces relationship evidence.

Use clear, current files and make sure names match the passport. Check the live application for accepted formats and any extra request that applies to your case. Keep personal records out of email or messaging channels unless the receiving address is clearly part of the official service.

  1. Check that the passport copy is clear and current.
  2. Prepare the accommodation record requested for your route.
  3. Keep the return ticket and an English three-month bank statement ready where listed.
  4. Add official kinship evidence for a family visit.
  5. Review every file before submission and keep a private copy of the receipt.

05Allow for processing and keep the payment record

The official two-week, GCC visitor and one-year pages each list a process time of three to five working days. This is the published service time, not a promise that every traveller will receive approval by a flight date.

Payment does not guarantee approval. The official portal also says the processing fee is not refunded when an application is not approved.

Apply before committing to travel costs that cannot be changed. Keep the application reference, payment receipt and the exact email address used for the submission. Use Check Application Status on the official portal for an existing application.

06Check the issued visa before travelling

When a visa is issued, compare the passport number, name, visa category, entry pattern and permitted period with your application. If something is wrong, use the official correction route shown on the eVisa portal rather than altering the document yourself.

A visa is not an unconditional promise of admission. The official portal states that holding a visa does not guarantee entry. It also says no part of the fee is refunded when entry is not granted.

Carry the same passport used for the application and the supporting travel records relevant to your category. Recheck official conditions if your passport, residence status or itinerary changes before departure.

07Check visa-on-arrival eligibility separately

The National Portal says visitors from 69 countries can receive visas on arrival at Bahrain International Airport. This is a separate route from the eVisa fee categories in the table above.

The same page says an on-arrival visa is issued for a specific fee. Check eligibility and the current amount through the official eVisa route before travelling.

08What the official pages don't say

The category pages list different fees for different named services. Run the official eligibility check, then use the page for the category returned for your passport and circumstances.

For the two-week category, the page labels BHD 9 as visa fees and BHD 4 as application fees. For arrival, the National Portal says a specific fee applies.

The official portal says payment does not guarantee approval. It also says holding a visa does not guarantee entry.

09Use this phone checklist before submitting

Work through these checks on your phone before pressing the payment button. Save the official category page and your receipt together so you can compare them later.

  1. Confirm you are on evisa.gov.bh or a Bahrain government service page.
  2. Run Check Visa Eligibility for your actual passport and travel circumstances.
  3. Match the result to one row in the official fee table.
  4. Read whether the amount is split into application and issuance components.
  5. Prepare the common documents and any category-specific evidence.
  6. Check the published processing time against your travel plan.
  7. Save the application reference and payment receipt.
  8. Use Check Application Status for follow-up.
