03Why MOE may ask for more than A Level results

MOE may ask for a letter of attendance, transfer letter or other supporting academic documents. It communicates with the awarding institution or relevant authorities to verify qualifications, and incomplete documents or failed verification can lead to rejection.

For an independent candidate, the missing piece may be the school-leaving record rather than the exam result itself. Ask MOE to identify the missing evidence in writing. Then request that specific record from the school, awarding body or examination centre instead of submitting unrelated papers.

04How to present the case at the customer centre

The foreign academic qualifications page lists an in-person application, no fee and a published processing duration of three working days.

Bring the documents for both possible routes in date order, then ask MOE which service should be opened for your file.

05Confirm what your university will accept

The University of Bahrain says private-school qualifications inside Bahrain require authentication by the MOE Private Education Directorate or an electronic MOE graduation certificate with a verification code.

UOB lists “GCSE/IGCSE, AP and IB” as accepted international certificates and does not name A Levels in that list. Ask the university which MOE output it needs for your record.

06If the file is refused or remains incomplete

Ask for the exact missing condition and the name of the document that would satisfy it. Avoid asking only whether A Levels are accepted, because the issue may be completion of secondary schooling, document authentication or issuer verification.
