Save the official contact details before travelling. The embassy is at Building 35, Road 1901, Block 319, Diplomatic Area, PO Box 563, Manama, Bahrain. Its main number is (+973) 17244113. The contact page lists parepbahrain1@mofa.gov.pk, while the consular page lists parepbahrain@mofa.gov.pk specifically for suggestions and complaints. Use the address that matches the purpose of your message.
The embassy publishes general hours from 08:00 to 16:00, but the captured official pages do not state the open weekdays. Passport appointments are listed from 08:00 to 12:00, and NADRA appointments from 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 14:00. Use the official Bahrain appointment page to choose an appointment type and time.
For directions, use the full official address in Diplomatic Area rather than an old directory pin. The official capture does not publish a bus route or parking instruction. Use the main number for general enquiries; the team page lists extensions 118 and 120 for Machine Readable Passports, 112 for NADRA and 109 for attestation. The Community Welfare contact is 00973-17245799.

02Which service do you need?
Choose the service before you book or travel. The embassy pages separate passport work, NADRA appointments, attestations, visas and community welfare. The published window, documents, fee and processing time vary by service. If the official page does not give a fee or timing, this guide leaves it unpublished rather than estimating it.
For passports, the embassy processes Machine Readable Passports and requires applicants to appear in person. For NADRA matters, use the appointment window shown on the consular page. For document attestation, documents are accepted from 08:00 to 12:00 and delivered from 13:00 to 16:00. The published fee is BD 2 for each document.
Most Pakistan visa applications use the Government of Pakistan Online Visa Portal. The consular page separately says diplomats and officials may apply for a gratis visa through the embassy or use the e-visa route, and it lists a separate form for Indian nationals. Follow the route for your category rather than assuming one process covers every applicant.
| Service | Official details |
|---|---|
| Adult MRP passport | Bring the paid fee receipt, valid CNIC or NICOP, previous passport, CPR and residence permit copies. Appointment window: 08:00 to 12:00. |
| Lost passport | Add a police loss report stating the previous passport number. The captured embassy page does not state a fee or completion time. |
| NADRA | Use the embassy appointment route. The published windows are 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 14:00. |
| Document attestation | Bring the document and its required supporting identity copies. Fee: BD 2 per document. Published processing time: same day. |
| Miscellaneous certificate | Follow the certificate-specific requirements. The published processing time is the next working day. |
| Pakistan visa | Apply through the official online visa portal. The portal shows the fee and route for the selected category. |
| Community welfare | Use the published welfare contact for a welfare issue. No general fee or processing time is stated. |

03How to renew a Pakistani passport in Bahrain
First decide whether you need an embassy appointment or can use the official DGIP online route. DGIP says online passport renewal is available to overseas Pakistanis when the passport has expired or has less than one year of validity. The embassy also provides an in-person Machine Readable Passport service. Do not assume every new, lost, damaged or modified passport case follows the simple renewal route.
The two official embassy pages publish different adult MRP lists. The passport page includes a paid fee receipt, previous passport and special-case papers, while the consular page gives a shorter list of current passport, CNIC or NICOP, CPR and residence permit. Prepare the fuller passport-page set and call the MRP wing if the appointment instruction differs.
The embassy says applicants must appear in person. It also says applicants do not need to fill in a form or bring a photograph for the embassy MRP process. That does not remove the need for your originals, copies or paid fee receipt. Arrange the papers in the same order as the official checklist so the document check is easier on a phone and at the counter.
For online renewal, use DGIP's official service at onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk. The applicant creates a login, supplies personal and biometric information, uploads supporting documents and pays by credit or debit card after reviewing the application. DGIP says status notices go to the registered email address. Work through the portal yourself because the account contains sensitive identity data.
Applicants below 18, newborn babies and duplicate-passport cases have separate official lists covering parent or guardian records, birth or marriage records where applicable, and the CID loss report for a lost passport. Read the matching special-case list in full before travelling.
- Check whether your case fits DGIP online renewal or needs an embassy visit.
- For an embassy visit, prepare the fuller passport-page checklist because the official passport and consular pages differ.
- Use the official Bahrain appointment page, choose an appointment type and time. The consular page lists the passport appointment window as 08:00 to 12:00.
- Attend in person with the originals and copies for your case. The embassy says applicants must appear in person and do not need a form or photograph for the MRP process.
- Follow the instruction issued for collection or dispatch. The captured passport pages do not publish one universal completion time.

04Document attestation and power of attorney
The official attestation page lists acceptance from 08:00 to 12:00 and delivery from 13:00 to 16:00. The fee is BD 2 per document, ordinary document attestation is listed as same day, and miscellaneous certificates are listed for the next working day.
For a power of attorney, the current page requires Bahraini legal or plain paper, originals and copies of the executant identity documents, 02 fresh photographs, two witnesses with identity papers and one photograph each, the nominee identity copy, and supporting papers. The applicant and witnesses sign and affix thumb impressions before the authorised officer.
In case of Bahraini National, it should be attested by Bahrain MOFA. The embassy also links the official online power-of-attorney route at poa.nadra.gov.pk. Use the exact route for the document and do not assume the BD 2 embassy fee covers charges by another authority.

05NADRA appointments and Pakistan visa applications
The embassy consular page lists NADRA appointment times from 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 14:00. The team page routes NADRA enquiries through the main number on extension 112. Because the captured page does not publish one complete document list or fee schedule for every NADRA product, check the current appointment screen for the exact service you need.
For most Pakistan visa applications, use the official Pakistan Online Visa System. The consular page has exceptions: diplomats and officials may apply for a gratis visa through the embassy or use the paid e-visa route, and a separate Indian-national application form is listed. Choose the route for the applicant category.
Before submitting any online application, make sure the name, passport number, email address and uploaded documents match. Save the application reference and monitor the registered email address. Avoid agents who ask for your password or one-time code. The official portals are the reliable starting points for both visa and online passport work.

06Community welfare and urgent document problems
For community welfare matters, the embassy team page lists 00973-17245799 for the Community Welfare Attaché. Use that contact for welfare issues that fall within the embassy's role. For routine passport, NADRA or attestation questions, use the relevant wing extension so the welfare line remains available for people who need it.
If a passport is lost in Bahrain, the embassy checklist requires a police loss report that mentions the previous passport number. Keep a secure private copy of the passport identity page and residence permit before a problem occurs. Never publish or send those documents in an open social-media post. Use the official embassy route and the relevant Bahrain police process.
For immediate danger in Bahrain, contact the local emergency services. The embassy's published contacts are consular and welfare contacts; they do not replace Bahrain's emergency response. Give the embassy a clear summary of the issue, your contact number and the type of assistance requested, while sharing identity documents only through an official channel.
07Phone checklist before visiting
Open the official page for your service, save the appointment confirmation and place originals and copies in separate sleeves. Check that your CPR and residence permit are current and that names and numbers match across the passport, CNIC or NICOP and Bahrain records. If the matter involves a child, lost passport, dual nationality, government employment or a legal document, read that special-case list in full.
Confirm the service window rather than relying on general opening hours. Passport appointments are 08:00 to 12:00, NADRA appointments are 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 14:00, and attestation acceptance is 08:00 to 12:00. Arriving during the wrong window can waste a trip even when the embassy itself is open.
Last checked: 21 October 2026. The captured Ministry of Foreign Affairs pages publish clock times but do not name the embassy open weekdays. The Bahrain mission publishes a public appointment page. Recheck the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and DGIP pages on the day you apply. This is an independent practical guide, not legal advice, and is not an embassy website.
