Bahrain Visa Cancellation: NPRA Steps, Applicant Types and Fee Check

To cancel a Bahrain visit or residence visa issued through NPRA, open the official Visa Cancellation Request, choose Authorized Person, Guarantor or Visa Holder Without Guarantor, enter the requested visa-holder details and stop to review the fee before confirming. The public page does not publish one universal cancellation fee or processing time.
01First, choose the correct cancellation authority
Use this NPRA route for a visa issued through Bahrain’s visa system. If you are cancelling an employer-sponsored work permit or its linked dependants, use the LMRA employer service instead. Cancelling the wrong record can leave the other record active.
02Open the Visa Cancellation Request
- Open the official Visa Cancellation Request.
- Read the instructions panel.
- Confirm that Request Type says Cancel Visa.
- Open Applicant Type.
03Choose the applicant type
- Guarantor: the person whose eKey is used is the visa holder’s guarantor and can apply and manage the request.
- Visa Holder Without Guarantor: the visa holder uses the direct identity route.
- Authorized Person: choose this only when the person handling the request is formally authorized.
04Enter the visa-holder details
The public direct-route form asks for the passport number, date of birth and nationality before continuing. Enter the details exactly as they appear in the passport and the existing visa record.
05Continue, review the fee and confirm
- Continue after completing the required fields.
- Check that the visa shown is the one you intend to cancel.
- Read the fee and any conditions displayed for that request.
- Review all details before confirmation.
- Submit only when the visa number and holder details are correct.
The public entry screen checked on 5 October 2026 does not state a universal cancellation fee, document list or completion time. Do not copy an amount from an unofficial website. Use the amount and requirements shown in your official request.
06Save the result after submission
Keep the request number, receipt and final cancellation notice. If travel or another visa application depends on cancellation, check the official record rather than relying only on a screenshot or message.

07Work permit cancellation is different
An employer-sponsored work permit is managed through LMRA. The employer’s cancellation action can also involve dependant permits and the worker’s departure or transfer situation. Do not describe an LMRA cancellation as an NPRA visit-visa cancellation.

08Common cancellation problems
- The form cannot find the visa
- Check the passport number, date of birth and nationality against the issued visa. Make sure you are using NPRA for an NPRA visa rather than an LMRA work permit.
- The guarantor route asks for eKey
- The public page states that the guarantor must sign in with the eKey account linked to the guarantor.
- I do not know the fee
- The public entry page does not list one universal amount. Continue far enough to read the official fee before confirmation.
- I cancelled but need proof
- Keep the official request number and cancellation notice, then check the status through the authority that issued the record.
- I need NPRA help
