CPR Appointment Bahrain: Book or Cancel Online
By Gaurav Agarwal
To book a CPR appointment in Bahrain, open iGA's Book/Modify/Cancel/Inquire About an ID Card Appointment service (ID Card Appointments Booking and Enquiry on bahrain.bh), choose “Book a new Appointment”, select the applicant category, and continue with the personal number or passport number for that individual. The appointment booking itself is free. Citizens aged 60 or above and people with disabilities are exempt from the ordinary appointment requirement.
Jump to a step

01Do you need a CPR appointment?
Use the appointment service for issuance, renewal, replacement, chip updates, and other listed ID Card services. CPR is the familiar name for Bahrain's Identity Card.
The public booking screen says an appointment is required at the Isa Town or Muharraq ID Card Centres for these four services:
- Identity Card issuance
- Identity Card renewal
- Replacement of a lost or damaged Identity Card
- Identity Card chip details update
Renewing? See the CPR renewal guide for the correct route, fees, documents, and delivery options.
There are important exceptions. Citizens aged 60 or above and people with disabilities do not need an ordinary appointment. iGA also lists no-appointment routes for eligible GCC citizens and for Fast Track service. Complete online services do not need a counter appointment.
A person aged 10 or above whose fingerprint and signature are not registered in Bahrain's population registry must book an appointment and attend in person. The official citizen service lists an exemption from this biometric attendance condition for people aged 70 or above and people with special needs.
02CPR appointment Bahrain: booking steps
- Open ID Card Appointments Booking and Enquiry on bahrain.bh. Select Use eService to enter Identity Card Services.
- Choose Appointments Booking and Enquiry. The page opens the public appointment form without asking you to sign in first.
- Select Book a new Appointment.
- Choose the applicant category. The current form displays Bahraini, Non-Bahraini (Not Registered in LMRA), Non-Bahraini (Registered in LMRA), and Non-Bahraini Dependents & Investors.
- Continue with the applicant's identification details. The official condition says each person's appointment must use that individual's personal number or passport number.
- Follow the remaining screens to pick a slot. Availability can change, so the live calendar is the only reliable source for an actual date and time.
- Review the booking and keep the confirmation details. You will need the booked appointment information if you later want to enquire about or cancel it.

Do not share your CPR number, passport number, booking reference, or one-time code in a public message.
03Choose the correct applicant category
| Form choice | Who should use it |
|---|---|
| Bahraini | A Bahraini citizen booking an Identity Card service |
| Non-Bahraini (Not Registered in LMRA) | A resident whose category is outside LMRA registration |
| Non-Bahraini (Registered in LMRA) | A worker whose records are held through LMRA |
| Non-Bahraini Dependents & Investors | A dependent or investor using the category shown by the portal |
Choose the category that describes the cardholder. For an ordinary worker front-office transaction, the iGA requirements say the sponsor or commercial registration holder attends. A worker may personally use the Fast Track route without an appointment. iGA lists Fast Track at BHD 20 for LMRA-registered workers, investors, and dependants, with an estimated service time of under 30 minutes when requirements are met.
04What to prepare before booking
The booking condition requires the personal number or passport number for each person. Before choosing a slot, also confirm which documents the underlying Identity Card transaction needs. Booking a time does not replace the issuance, renewal, replacement, or update requirements.
- The applicant's personal number or passport number
- A valid original passport for the counter service
- The current Identity Card, if one has already been issued
- A recent compliant personal photo when the selected transaction requires one
- Valid residence information for a non-Bahraini applicant
- Any supporting document required for the specific change, such as an address, custody, or authorization document
Check the applicant category on the official iGA ID Card and Civil Record Services page before attending. Requirements and transaction fees differ by category. The appointment booking is free, but the Identity Card transaction may have a separate fee.
05Check or cancel an existing appointment
- Return to the official Identity Card Services page.
- Open Appointments Booking and Enquiry.
- Select Enquire / Cancel Existing Appointment.
- Enter the booking details requested by the portal and follow the displayed action.
iGA describes the service as allowing booking, modification, cancellation, and enquiry. The current first screen specifically labels the existing-booking route as “Enquire / Cancel Existing Appointment”. Use the choices that appear for your booking after verification. If the portal does not offer a direct change for that booking, cancel it through the official route and make a new booking from the available slots.
Missed it? iGA publishes no penalty rule. Book a new slot, or call 8000 8001. iGA lists an estimated front-office service time of 30 minutes when all application requirements are met.
06Centres, hours and Fast Track
The two main Identity Card locations listed by iGA are the Isa Town Branch and the Identity Card Service Center at Seef Mall, Muharraq. Both are closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays.
| Route | Official hours, Sunday to Thursday | Appointment |
|---|---|---|
| Bahraini and GCC customers | 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM | Depends on the service and exemption |
| Non-Bahraini customers at Isa Town | 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM | Required for the ordinary routes described above |
| Fast Track | 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM | No prior appointment. iGA lists BHD 10 for citizens and BHD 20 for most non-Bahrainis. Domestic workers pay BHD 10 if the ID Card fee was already paid through LMRA, otherwise BHD 20. Estimated time is under 30 minutes when requirements are met |
Confirm the current centre and opening time on the official Service Centers and Kiosks Locations page before travelling.
07If no appointment is available
- Check that you selected the correct applicant category and Identity Card service.
- Bahraini and GCC applicants can try the other centre. Seef Mall lists no ordinary non-Bahraini hours, only Fast Track.
- Check again later because the live calendar controls availability.
- Use the online Identity Card service if your transaction can be completed without a visit.
- Consider Fast Track only after checking the applicant category, service eligibility, fee, and current hours.
